First I would like to say that I am using this patch in a non-standard application. I don't use it on a service animal. Instead, it hangs on my backpack (see photo) to ask people to "leave me alone - I'll make things". And for that it was great. With my backpack and band-aids, I got caught in the rain, the Florida sun and of course good old boredom indoors. The patch still looks good. No faded or unraveling threads. The Velcro side attached to the patch is attached very well and shows no signs of coming loose.
