I am a 50 yr old, fairly slim man (no potbelly) with European genetics, so very pale skin. I love being out in the sun, but after some bouts with skin cancer I decided I should maybe add some rashguards to my wardrobe to protect.I was really concerned about the fit because I had bought a version of this in the past from a chain superstore, and I couldn't even get it on because it was so tight. I typically wear a medium t-shirt or a large if it is an "athletic" or "slim" cut. My chest is 39 - 40 inches. According to the size guide, I went with the large. It is a great fit. It is ever so slightly loose so I don't feel compressed (or out of shape because it's highlighting every fat roll), but not too loose where it would interfere with swimming or kayaking. I love the colors too. I actually haven't worn it in the water yet, but think it will be great. The price was great as well!
