Too bad I like these shoes for walking and posture. The MBT brand is the benchmark for this style, but quite expensive, which I have had at work for many years and had to walk a lot on my feet. These shoes look similar in style, but differ significantly in workmanship. It had a very strong unpleasant plastic smell and after a few days the smell persisted. It was very light, which was good and looked good, but I was concerned about the material used. The sole had a plastic feel and I'm not sure if it would stand up to the daily treadmill walks I currently use. A similar cheap pair that I am replacing broke in half at the sole and the used upper was completely worn out after about 8 months of use but at least it was made with a regular rubber sole and was heavier. There were no foreign smells at reception either. I will probably return to MBTs as they last for years and get better with age and are better for your legs and posture.
