Keeps cool but regrets

Keeps my Ryzen 3800x super cool how ridiculous. But the LED is a total problem @! # and I 100% regret taking this product. This product is not an open source ARGB, it is proprietary and can only be controlled with their software. This is where most of the problem lies. Why would you want to do that? 1) They like their LEDs better and 2) You can control the behavior of individual LEDs (if you do this via a motherboard daisy chain then the motherboard software will see them all as one LED). The software is an absolute nightmare. So many questions, I won't even list them here, not enough time or space. But I'm telling you this, you need to reset the profile on every reboot. Manually. Yes, on every reboot all LEDs will return to their default rainbow state, you must manually open the software and click each LED to activate your preferred scene. It doesn't stop there, you get errors without telling you why, sometimes the settings don't work at all, the mobile app can't authenticate despite having the same password as set in the software, oh and you don't cannot change the port assignment despite changing the DIP switch. So I have all these expensive heat guns and I'm glad, but I'm terribly fucked up about it. I now have an exhaust fan that is a Coolermaster Halo (because I bought a Riing Quad and you can't use the controller from Trio or Duo, you can only work in reverse and can't buy the quad controller separately). , you have to spend $150 for a three pack which I don't need (no thanks). This Coolermaster Halo works much better, no problems (so my other build, I went through the whole Coolermaster, and again, NO problems and everything is beautiful Standard ARGB, no proprietary controller or forced software. Yes, I lose the individuality for light shows , but I like it. To make matters worse, there is no documentation for their software. Only YouTube reviews, not to show you how to work with the software, but just to see how enjoyable it can be. I have twice Wrote to their support, 2 weeks ago, crickets .Nothing Nada If I hadn't built such a complicated schematic into this micro case, I would pull the whole Thermotake product, sell it on ebay at any price, slam it and put everything in the Coolermaster Halo and Sickleflow as i saw on my other build recently it was a premium edition for a premium nightmare the only good thing is that mine CPU stays really cold (like in the 30's even while I'm working), and the Trio 200m pushes out more air than I could reasonably expect. The fans that come with the heatsink aren't impressive in any way, either in terms of the LEDs or the flow, so I'm trying, it's just a Thermaltake ploy to lock customers into their ecosystem without closing it leaving. If I had to go that route, go to Corsair, at least their stuff works and will stand for it.

Pros
  • Efficient water block - copper base plate accelerates heat conduction from water block and pump
Cons
  • too dull
