Many reviews already cover the basics of the game, how to play it, so based on my experience I'll get to the point: Consider another game if you will always have 3 players (like my group). The game lacks good scaling (H value doesn't work) so the difficulty is pretty much the same regardless of the difficulty of heroes and villains and whether you're playing with 3, 4 or 5 players/heroes. This requires the game to be challenging for 3, 4 and 5 players, shifting towards the higher tier while the lower tier suffers. If you play with 2 people, you play 2 heroes each. Don't bother with three heroes. You'll find that the complexity is gross and, more importantly, it's slow work. The games will last much longer because the villain's health doesn't decrease with your characters. The game is still fun and the design of each hero and villain is smart and thoughtful, but the game doesn't work for 3 players.
