Review on πŸ”Œ Efficient and Powerful Braun MultiQuick 5 Immersion Hand Blender with Patented Technology - 350W, Dual Speed - Includes Beaker, Whisk, 505, Black by Jessica Simmons

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best hand blender under $200

This is *better* than the next best (budget) hand blender (Breville) and is just over half the price of a Breville. I owned both. My first Braun lasted 10 years, my first Breville lasted 5 years, the "others" I had blew up in less than a year. I appreciate the blender itself, the decanter, as do all the decanters that come with hand blenders. sucks. You can throw it away now. Instead of a carafe, I use a 50-ounce stainless steel milk frother. It works, doesn't make a mess, and cleans well in everything I make (pesto, garlic/olive oil/parmesan puree, smoothies, hummus). The whisk attachment is great for whipping cream or egg whites. I've had more expensive Brauns and the weak point is the plastic drive. If the more expensive units had a metal drive rather than a plastic one, I would buy them, but there aren't any and no extra power is needed. (But the 350 watts it puts out makes a BIG difference compared to 200 watt high powered hand blenders).

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Confusing
