I didn't actually buy this to make a mooncake for the Mid-Autumn Festival. I bought this to make a snowskin durian mooncake for my girlfriend who never seems to be able to get her hands on. I think I made it for her birthday. There were no instructions for it so it took me a few minutes to figure out how to use it. I love the mini cake and full moon cake options, as well as the round or square ones. When pressed, the prints came out clear. If ground properly, the moon cake will come out easily. The only thing I'm not sure about is that I'll be using it a lot, and it's a hassle to make a mooncake from scratch. But if you're committed to the craft, this is definitely a great press. If you want the traditional ones, you need to buy the ones you're ready to hit the shelves with.
