Review on πŸ”₯ EVERIE Sous Vide Container 12 Quart EVC-12: Anova Nano & Instant Pot Compatible with Collapsible Hinged Lid by Katie Washington

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works with Ambiano (Aldi) diving plate.

All of these containers seem overpriced for what they are, but this one is definitely more affordable than others and has nifty food storage shelves. I have an Ambiano immersion cooker that I bought from Aldi and the hole in the lid is just right for it to fit. The clamp serves to secure the panel to the tank wall with a slight rearward tilt when flush with the tank wall slope. I'm a little skeptical as to how long the Flex hinge will last, but only time will tell. I prefer using this clear container over my regular metal pan because the grate allows for precise holding of the bags and the plastic bowl loses less heat than a steel bowl. I cooked the roast at 131 degrees Fahrenheit for 24 hours and the outside of the container was never too hot to touch. The lid fits very well and prevents evaporation when cooking long dishes. The metal grille comes with 5 inserts that fit securely into the rows of slots on the underside of the grille. Once all bags are in place, a bar snaps into place at the top to prevent bags from climbing up and falling out of the rack. When you're preparing multiple dishes, they can clump together if they're not secured, and this rack solves that problem. .Note that the rack will not fully fit when rotated 90 degrees into the container. I waited a bit before investing in this device and I am very happy with my choice.

Pros
  • Hinged lid for minimal water evaporation - cook for long hours even at night without having to add water.
Cons
  • Not bad
