So for now everything is fine with the monitor. it's 800 x 480 looks ok, it's 7 inches so it's ok. But my problem is with trying to use screen. This is actually my first headless RPI project, but it's a far cry from my first Pi project. Firstly, I didn't expect this to not work out of the box, but it is obvious. if you mess with it, but getting it to work isn't nearly as easy as setting up one of the official monitors. Any changes to your OS will crash the scripts it calls from the crappy Github drivers - and a ton of it will overwrite a TON of stuff without warning - so backup your install or start with a literally freshly etched SD card . And while it's connected via HDMI, it doesn't have any speakers. And the viewing angle is not very good.
