This is a lightweight cotton duvet/blanket for summer. Very soft. Be warned, based on the photos on Revain I was expecting the background to be bright white and the embroidery golden brown. See photo LEFT for actual colors, 2 photos top right for Revain photo where I think it looks bright white with gold embroidery). The background is actually ivory, not brilliant white, and the embroidery is light brown with no gold tinge. Since the difference between ivory and brown is not as noticeable as the colors in the photo, the embroidery appears to be larger per square foot. With any online purchase, you won't know the exact color until you see the product in person. It's not a problem as it's still attractive, but not what I expected. If you're looking for ivory and tan shades, you've come to the right place. What amazes me, even here in temperate San Diego, is this cover only for summer.
