Review on 📱 Enhanced Control: DIRECTV RC73B Universal Backlit Remote for Easy Navigation by Shaun Bushey

This remote does not have good ergonomics unlike previous DirecTv models. The volume, up and down buttons are too close to the channel up and down buttons and they are identical, less than 1/4 inch apart. The fast-forward and rewind buttons are in an area that's too cluttered with many other buttons that are too, the power buttons are too close to other controls, and I often toggle the system with the button "Recording List" from . how it turns on. I know the goal is to increase battery life, but I'd prefer a few months less "battery life" and a light duration that stays on long enough to complete setup or multi-step functions. The price was high for a "backlit remote" that is mediocre at best and doesn't live up to my expectations. I didn't find any other lighted options, but this model didn't suit me, and I decided not to buy additional remotes for other TVs and AV systems in the house.
