I received my new camera and put in new Energizer alkaline batteries and a standard size SD card. He didn't intervene. The device has a DC power connector and an old-style USB connector, but cables for both have not been preserved. Another review said they used rechargeable batteries and wouldn't turn on until they put in alkaline batteries, but mine doesn't even work on alkaline batteries. It could be high ratings as there is a card in the box asking for high ratings in exchange for a free hat. I'm frustrated because of the cost of this camera and the fact that I was hoping to use it during hunting season to keep an eye on our camp is disappointing that it won't even turn on. How does it work if the battery dies after a few weeks? We'll send the device back and look for something else.
