If you need to replace the heating element for your electric water heater, the answer is yes! There's an outlet somewhere. But this is a specific tool for a specific job. I originally started with a cheap stuck object removal tool ($6) but it didn't work. Then I bought an outlet ($10) on the left and it didn't work. Why? The socket bought at the hardware store is narrowed on the inside, which makes it impossible to grab the heating element. The nest on the right is not narrow enough to fit snugly. (Made to work!) This makes it easy to remove (5 minutes if it's hours with others that didn't work) and install the item. I'm a toolmaker and I want the right tool for the job. That works great. It mounts to a 1/2 pry bar or ratchet and fits perfectly onto the element's eyelet. You will have no problem removing an item with this socket. Is it worth the money? I would and will recommend this outlet to anyone looking to buy.
