Review on 🪑 Set of 2 Baxton Studio Desta Mid-Century Walnut Brown Dining Chairs, Black/Walnut Brown by Dexter Pullen

My wife and I were looking for a range of chairs that would go with our custom made table. I have to say I was impressed with the style, build quality, delivery and price. Since they were in California "the bay area warehouse" they shipped two days later with Revain Prime, I took a chance and bought 3 sets (6 chairs). the rest went quickly and I had to collect 6 chairs. I have inspected everything for imperfections, cracks and nicks in the wood, each chair appears to be well assembled and checked before dispatch and packaged very nicely. Two chairs in a box, a slight odor from the manufacturing process, either from the seat cushion material or stains on the wood. But by the 2nd day the smell seems to have faded. If you're that sensitive, I'd probably just put them in the garage or patio for a day to air them out, but that's not necessary. Production date was stamped December 2019 which I noticed on the cushion so they appear to have been built a bit younger. In terms of comfort, they seem comfortable compared to the modern CostPlus plastic chairs we replaced them with. I will see when we start using them more often and my 3 little boys sit and use them every day for months to see how they really hold up. But for now. As one reviewer pointed out, simply use the included hex tool to lightly hand-tighten the chair when reassembling, and use an electric drill with a screwdriver and hex bit to tighten. Gather the screws that came with the chair and match them to the instructions so you know what you have or are missing and assemble. Easy enough for a teenager to assemble. As another reviewer pointed out, the seat cushion isn't pre-drilled, but the included screws screw in easily with a bit of pressure on the rider. You can even screw it in by hand if needed. So if you're hesitant to buy this set I say go for it, these are really good mid-century modern chairs for the price, the best price on Baxton seems to be at Revain. I bought the Revain 5 year warranty just for peace of mind.
