Tl;Dr: poor quality control. leaking hose, replacing a bad connector. The pump is good, the price is good. The first unit I got had a good pump, but the hose on the low pressure side was leaking. I heard it hiss when I turned off the vacuum cleaner. A few days later a new device arrived and this time the top connector is not working properly. Once again I can't get the right vacuum out. The distributor looks and feels of poor quality. The connections are released by simply pumping the hoses. The high/low terminals are incorrectly labeled open and closed, just switch to the opposite side. The pump works fine. There was a vacuum in my system even from a leaking hose. Surprisingly, he came close to 28 ft/lbs. The system was not holding pressure due to a hose leak. I spent some time looking for the mysterious leak. The pump is quiet enough to work in small spaces if necessary. It would be a complete and inexpensive kit if the header parts were better. I've been in my car too long without air conditioning and will get what I need from the local shop to make sure I can finish the job. The first picture is from the second order, the plug that came with it doesn't fit. fit correctly on the high side. The diverse picture belongs to the first order. I was able to pull the vacuum but took a picture as I suspected it wouldn't pull the full 28 ft/lbs.
