Bought Bose headphones for my husband to watch TV without being distracted by background noise. Our TV isn't smart at all, with limited rear connections. We have/had a soundbar connected to the one available optical port, which turned out to be the only option for a Bluetooth connection to our TV. I bought this nifty little device to connect our soundbar and headphones to the TV. It took some work and patience to put them both together, but it finally happened and it's working pretty well now. sometimes some delay between Bluetooth and TV, but not bad. Just make sure everything else in the house that has Bluetooth is turned off when you're working on connecting it.
