These socks are very comfortable and breath really well. I wear them under my work and hiking boots and they give great ankle support and don't rub and cause blisters. They are made of a soft wool that's never itchy. I like the colorful and detailed designs, they almost have a retro Nordic feel to them. They also wash well and hold their shape after machine washing. The Would definitely recommend for that long hike or trip up to the Mountains.
