An excellent lamp at an affordable price. I've been looking for something like this for a long time! The quality is great and the price is really unbeatable. Especially since it's designed as a wired wall light, but comes with everything you need to convert it to a socket. This is a situation that suits everyone. As tenants we opted for the plug-in version, but when we eventually move into our own apartment we can easily switch it back to a wired connection. Yes, as other reviewers have noted, the instructions are useless. But since the wiring is clearly labeled, the rest isn't too difficult to piece together. It just takes a little patience and a Google search or two is a comparable compromise for the money saved. I also just fitted a regular 60 watt light bulb as Edison bulbs can be expensive and we didn't have them on hand. I don't think it ruins the aesthetic. We have used them as bedside lamps and even my husband is a fan. I think they are just the right size to complement the headboard and serve as a table lamp. They may be too small if placed elsewhere.
