I received the device. I was surprised that the box was open (not sealed or sealed. I was happily surprised that it came with a 9 volt battery. Battery cover to insert the battery. The screen was large and fairly readable when the backlight was on Keys are not as legible. Needs more contrast on keys and key labels and dial labels. I installed the app on my iPhone X. Bluetooth was on. I launched the app and clicked the plus sign in the app to pair the device Instead of a popup to show a counter, I got a list of items that appears to be a list of every Bluetooth device I've ever used on the iPhone.I can't be sure I've looked through the list I assumed my multimeter was in that list. I couldn't find it. Tried closing the app and turn bluetooth on and off. I also tried to find a multimeter on my bluetooth devices. I couldn't find it around. I also pressed the button on the device until the Bluetooth icon started blinking. I think the Bluetooth function of this device is not working. I was very disappointed. I hope the seller reads this and help me deal with it as soon as possible. Bluetooth functionality is very important to me and is the main reason I chose this device. UPDATE: After playing around with it further, I found one of the many items on the list called "BSD" which appeared to be a multimeter. Why did you call it BSD? it has no reasonable connection to your device name. How about naming OW18B after this Bluetooth device? In any case. I found some problems. I'm tired of doing a constant voltage test. I tested the AA battery. And I noticed that even before I connected the wires to the battery I was getting readings of 2.1 3.3 and various other DC voltage readings before it was connected to anything. teeth where only in the air. That worried me. When I connected the wires to the test it changed to 1.35V which is what I was expecting. but now I'm not sure I can trust the reading. Is jumping part of Autorange? I will continue to do more tests and add them to my review. I also looked at the data collection. In this example I looked at DC voltage logging. it seemed to be writing data. but i noticed that when i turned off the multimeter. the data disappear. This is also valid. I don't want the data to disappear. By the way, I would recommend OWON to put a Bluetooth icon next to the button you need to press to turn on the Bluetooth function. It's pretty much standard to include a Bluetooth icon next to a device button that toggles the Bluetooth feature on and off. Another thing I noticed, I'm not sure why. When I turn on the screen backlight, the same button turns on the flashlight and the rear screen. It doesn't look like I can turn on the flashlight on my own regardless of the backlight. This isn't a big problem as the flashlight's LED doesn't use much power. but it made me uneasy. Is it possible to turn the flashlight on and off independently of the screen backlight and vice versa? I will add more updates as I continue testing this device. Also, I noticed that you have the option to rename the multimeter's Bluetooth device name to whatever you want. I switched mine to OW18B. I don't understand why OWON didn't do this at the factory before sending it to me. I checked the timing leads that came with the multimeter. It seems to work. I switched the meter to temperature selection. I got a reading of 90 degrees. and unplugged the cables and it still reads 90. So I'm not sure if that means the multimeter has an internal temperature gauge. Also, I noticed that there is a very thin wire at the end of the makeshift wire that came with the kit. And it bends very easily. and it is very short. about 5-10 mm long. What worries me is that flexing could cause it to eventually break. It does not seem suitable for being submerged in liquid as it is so short and appears very fragile. I assume it's very gentle to touch the components with the tip of the end to get a feel for the component's temperature? or to check the ambient air around a short thin wire? I will continue to study this multimeter. It seems that maybe it should be based on a very useful device. And from what I've seen in reviews of other units they made, and presumably older generations. They improve the device. I hope they keep improving. I will try to figure out how to connect this device to my PC (Windows 10), which is also very important for me. If anyone knows what application I need to use to connect to the PC please send me a comment with that information. Another thing I noticed. The voltage and current test wires have burglar style caps that protrude just 2mm from the metal end. My understanding is that this allows the wires to test higher voltages. You can remove these pads to reveal more of the metal pin. and also exposes the scraping lines on the alligator clips that come with the gauge. But these robber covers are very difficult to remove. They can't handle the force I've had to use on other devices. I was worried that I would have to strain so hard it would break the ends. The ends appear to have ridges that fit into sharp grooves in the betal skin and elsewhere. making them very difficult to remove. Perhaps with a few removals and uses the parts of the plastic that bind it will wear down to make it easier to remove and...
