Not easy, but very doable.

Installation is difficult but doable. Installed on JK 2012. I cheated a little and went to the site of a well-known Jeep gear seller and read the reviews there. There are many reviews and lots of useful information. I dropped a small magnet from a rare earth disk into a 13mm socket to remove the factory bolts. Note that these are locking bolts, so new bolts require little or no hand tightening. I put some WD40 on the new studs, then pushed them into the holes about 3/4 inch, tilting the horizontal stud up, tilting the vertical stud a bit as well. First I started on the driver's side and of course I had to work on the steering wheel. Other reviews suggested starting with a horizontal screw. Went smoothly with no problems. The vertical bolt actually worked just fine, but since I couldn't turn it by hand, I was concerned about its cross threads. So I spent about an hour playing it. In the end, it dragged and began to tighten the vertical screw very slowly. It went straight away with no problems. A total of about 1.5 hours on the driver's side. With my newly acquired knowledge, it started on the passenger side. 33 minutes from the moment the head is placed on the first latch and the door is closed. I did the same thing as filling the new bolts with WD40 and partially screwing them in and out. Started with a horizontal screw, then a vertical one and slowly tightened until I had 3 turns with an allen wrench, then switched to a ratchet. Good solid grip.
