I bought these lights for multiple color options (including a cool white look) and the ability to be remote controlled and I need an outlet instead of battery power. Great concept and someone might like these lights but not me Pros - decent brightness - timer functions work - remote and/or button on cord can change color - reasonable price Cons - "white" setting is terrible. Parts of the thread turn blue-green, and the part closest to white turns pink. I understand we can't expect 100% white for the RBG type, but why are there two different wire colors with this setting? - The remote control range is limited to about 3 feet - The flash setting on the remote has no actual flash effect and is just another flash setting. - I didn't notice much change, if any, when trying to use the dimmer/brightness buttons for multiple colors. I bought two of these and both have the same problems. I'm sending them back because I needed a white look. I can only buy a similar light product in white, just wish there were color options. If you don't need white this might be a decent garland for the price.
