The cones produce reverse smoke, nothing more.
Some smoke cones (usually yellow) leave a horrible smoke smell on all surfaces. The smell is similar to that of a heavy smoker. In addition, smoke stains all surfaces. Plus, it sticks to the skin and doesn't wash off at all. This is in addition to not really delivering a noticeable amount of flavor. Really confused with all the reviews saying "great scent". The cones themselves serve to disperse the smoke in the cone holder so it is exactly as described.
