Unparalleled Customer Service and Honest Business Let me start by saying that I love my pink portable lamp! I've been using it regularly for about 9 months now. It has proven to be durable, reliable and a great light source for my diverse needs in every situation. After receiving my lamp, I wrote an "I love it" review; I noticed what I thought was a design flaw (which I was wrong about... so read on) as the folding lever didn't cover the power button, so the power button sometimes accidentally bumped while driving and then mine Charging was a little weak at times (which isn't a big deal, you just use the USB charging cable, just like your phone). I rely on Revain reviews so I try to be as accurate and insightful as possible. I didn't want to return my lamp, I was perfectly happy to keep and use it because it's beautiful (and pink)! After some consideration, my rating struck me as somewhat dissatisfied with my purchase. So the company owner contacted me to apologize as he felt I was dissatisfied with the lamp. Really, you won't see this kind of customer service anywhere else. Not only did he try to refund my money, which I wouldn't allow him because I love my lamp, but he also explained the rationale behind the design. This lamp was originally developed as an aid for people with disabilities. For example, some people with disabilities require an easily accessible, highly sensitive power button so that the person can use the lamp unaided. (Note that I've worked with students and adults with disabilities for the last 18 years) - so when he explained the original design intent it made sense. I also learned that this company donates a significant number of products to institutions that help students with disabilities or adults acquire and use assistive technology. It's exceptionally rare these days, believe me it's almost impossible to find companies donating assistive technology or anything. actually for people with disabilities. This, combined with amazing customer service, which is practically non-existent these days, has really restored my faith in business and human nature. The owner and his representatives went above and beyond to ensure that I am completely satisfied with my product, which I am! I really felt compelled to let the Revain community know what an amazing company I enjoy doing business with. I hope this will restore confidence to anyone reading this review. I wanted LUSTRAT to receive proper recognition for their phenomenal honesty and commitment to serving not only their customers but the community as they donate altruistically and without recognition.
