I had a 48 inch doorway where I wanted to put in a barn door. I made the door myself - 84x50.5. This kit was absolutely what I needed. If you follow the instructions to the letter, you should be good. I was very nervous that when I put up the door, it would be too high or too low but that wasn't the case. I was also happy with the simplistic door guide that came with it. I purchased a heavy duty guide but I ended up returning it because this low profile one did the trick. My door doesn't open all the way because I had to purchase the 7.5 feet track because that's all I had to work with. I knew this going in so it wasn't a problem.I'm new to this DIY stuff so as a beginner/intermedate handyman, I highly recommend this kit.I ended up purchasing a nice two way handle because this one doesn't come with one. However you really don't need one. I can easily open my door with a single finger, that's how smooth it works.
