After several near misses and police stops, I decided for the first time to see what was being recorded. Image quality is the same as most cameras. I could choose a resolution higher than 1080p, but then the files get very large and take longer to load. What I really like is that the front and rear cameras record separately on the same micro SD card. So you can watch each of them separately. So far no problems in 6 months so there may have been bad cameras in previous reviews? Of course there are cheaper cameras out there but they don't do front and back like this one. The controls and setup are some of the easiest for those who aren't very tech savvy. I definitely recommend this one. I currently have 6 separate DVRs.
