I'm only going to give the overall design a 2 after the base is attached to the top. Yes, the base is separate from the top and you need to assemble it. But that's when you take them apart. I ended up breaking half of the discs trying to take them apart and they were useless because I broke them. The one that disassembled without cracking, some of them spilled red wine from below onto my guest, tablecloth, yard (ants like red wine.). This actually created a mess as the floor may not have been sealed properly. Not worth the embarrassment this might cause others, luckily I just had a family. Would not recommend this style.
