Is the Black Owl Aura Sync RGB DDR4 RAM Worth the Hype?

I recently purchased the Black Owl Aura Sync RGB DDR4 RAM 16GB and have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, the sleek and visually appealing design adds a cool touch to my desktop setup. Who doesn't love a bit of extra RGB lighting? On the other hand, I was expecting better performance considering the price point. With 2666 MHz CL19, I expected faster speeds than what was delivered. While it does the job, it falls short when compared to other gaming memory options. One upside to this RAM is the low energy usage of 1.2V, making it eco-friendly and energy-saving. Additionally, the 288-Pin design simplifies installation. Overall, if you're looking for aesthetic appeal and eco-friendliness, the Black Owl Aura Sync RGB DDR4 RAM may be worth the purchase. However, if you prioritize performance, there are better options on the market for a similar price.

Pros
  • With its mesmerizing RGB lighting and Aura Sync capability, the Black Owl RAM kit lets you customize your desktop's aesthetics with ease, making it a great addition to any gaming or PC build.
Cons
  • Compatibility - This RAM is only compatible with newer desktop computers that support DDR4 memory, leaving older models unable to take advantage of its capabilities. This limits its utility for some users
