I've always wanted to add Sous Vide to my kitchen collection but they are always expensive until I stumbled upon this one. It's simple and easy to use, heats the water evenly and, like all sous vide methods, cooks my steak to perfection. And the best part is that I no longer have to worry about cooking and can stay at my grill. My grill time went from 25 minutes to 3 minutes (for 4 1.5 inch steaks). For medium - I set it to 137F and left 1.5 hours. Then fry the steak with oil for 30 seconds on each side at high heat for 3 minutes (6 revolutions). 130F will leave you at medium doneness. I've been using it since day one and cooked two dishes with it over the weekend - duck breast and roast alongside the ribeyes I cook daily. So far they have done everything perfectly in 5 days with 5 dishes. I tried cooking the steak at different temperatures. Tips: I would measure the water level (start on the lowest level so you can start the sous vide). After adding your item, the water level will rise. When I first used it I added water to the max and when I put my steak in it went past the max so I turned my sous vide to a higher setting. On my second try, I learned not to waste water. When I cooked the roast, I had to take some water out of the pot. Suggestion: It would be nice if they included a pocket/storage bag.
