I already have two official Switch Pro controllers and they are the best controllers on the planet but I wanted to decorate my Switch with two more controllers for me and my college friends could play Mario Kart 8 DX and Smash Ultimate without much expense. PowerA Pro controllers with improved performance are a great option in this situation. They don't include HD vibration, motion controls, an Amiibo NFC chip, and aren't rechargeable (they run on AA), but it's a very fair compromise at $25-$30 less if you've already indulged in one Official controller Switch Pro for the epic Breath of the Wild sessions. They don't feel as solid as the Switch Pro controller, but they don't feel cheap or plasticky either. They are somewhere in between. The buttons feel good and the triggers feel good too, although not as smooth as the official pro controller. Poles have a wide range of motion, but aren't as comfortable when you're holding your thumbs for long periods of time. However, the programmable back buttons are a plus, especially for programming smash moves. Overall, this is a stylish, well-built controller to add to your Switch collection so you can play with others.
