Spotted light source
The lamp we received emits intermittent light resulting in some faint/shaded areas in the projected light pattern coming from the ophthalmoscope. When we replaced the Welch Allyn lightbulb, the shadows disappeared. Wiping the bulb with alcohol didn't help. I wish I had just bought a Welch Allyn light bulb and not been trying to save a few bucks.
