Cheap fake?: Krug water filter
I can't find the Pur filters I've been using for years so I bought this generic Chinese version. Fits in my standard pitcher. Water passes through this filter as if it weren't there. Very light compared to pure filters. When I soaked this filter as usual, a dark blue ink material came out. There are no instructions in this box, so unlike put filters, they may not need to be submerged before first use. The water tastes fresher than straight from my old pipes. I don't know if it filters anything. Hope Pur will be back in stock.
