Glossy texture on paper - hard to use pencils

The Paper has a glossy texture which makes colored pencils hard to use. The pencil lead doesn’t adhere to the paper and it looks kinda bad. I’m sad because the images are quite decent. I also didn’t realize they’re super small books- like travel size- when I ordered either. I should have returned them.

I am in love with all of Arteza’s products. Quality is amazing and the price is always great. For some reason though, I wasn’t expecting the book to be so small! No worries! It’s cute and compact and I can take it anywhere. Plus the mandala designs are intricate and beautiful. A must have if you love to color like me! The pages are perforated, numbered, and there is an elastic band that keeps the book closed. Genius! Love it!
