I had to connect a ham radio cable to the front panel. I installed it under the passenger seat and routed a cable through the dash and it came out through a small hole. It worked but looked awful. It was a great decision. I drilled a hole for the mount and tied a string under the dash. Now all I have to do is plug the short cable into the adapter and my amateur radio works great. It seems to be working great so far. I didn't have any connection problems. Additionally, this adapter can be installed in the opposite direction as shown in my photos, providing a much more concealed mount. I had a problem with the long side of the adapter touching the top of my stereo, so I flipped it over to make room.
