As a medical professional, I frequently carry my iPad with me because it’s smaller and more versatile than a full laptop. My only issue was that they on-screen keyboard was difficult to use quickly and accurately.Enter this amazing keyboard case! I am able to quickly type up my notes without fumbling around with the on-screen keyboard and without having to re-type things.Pros:Lightweight - I was expecting it to be a little heavier because of what it was, but it was much lighter than I expected.Easy to connect - It connected within 5 seconds.Easy Installation - Literally just snapped right into place.Battery Life - I have used it heavily the past weekend and have not had any issues with the battery (I do not use the LED backlights. They’re gimmicky and unnecessary. I am not aware of the battery life with these LED backlights).Quick Response - The iPad responds quickly to keyboard input.Cons:Small keys - Not major, but it does take some time to get used to.Sleep Mode - The keyboard seems to go into a sleep mode after so much time of inactivity. At first, this presented difficulty with input because it wasn’t connected. After awhile, it began automatically reconnecting when I pressed any key.Micro-USB charging port - The version for the 5th Gen iPad (A1823) is charged via a micro-USB port, so now I am required to have an additional charging cable. At the very least, the charging port should be USB-C or, at the very least, the same charging cable as the iPad.Keyboard Shortcuts - Some keyboard shortcuts are different than what you might expect. I’m told that they can be customized, but I haven’t yet delved into it.Overall:If you’re looking for a cost-effective way to increase your productivity when using an iPad, this case would be great for you. After a very small learning curve, I’ve found that I prefer the use of my iPad over any computer if advanced computing is not required. I’m extremely glad I purchased this case, and will be sure to purchase one for any new devices I purchase in the future.
