Good sound, good volume, but why the tiny VHF antenna connector on the board?

I was looking for an inexpensive Class D universal amplifier that could be used in my music room. Something I can connect to or stream via Bluetooth from an iPad or computer, or play MP3s from an SD card. It does all of that and has an FM tuner too, but more on that later. The manufacturer claims it can deliver 40 watts per channel, but if you look at the power supply you can see that it is rated for 12V at 5 amps, which is 60 watts or 30 watts per channel at 100% efficiency. A more realistic figure is 90% efficiency, giving 27 watts per channel. With a 13.5V power supply you might actually get 40 watts per channel, but that's not really a significant difference as a noticeable increase in volume requires doubling the power. The more important question is how good does it sound? Answer: Pretty good, especially for such a cheap amp. So far I've only played it through the vintage (but legendary) Radio Shack Minimus speakers shown in the photo. I've had great results streaming direct-in and USB stick, but I couldn't test FM because I couldn't connect an antenna. The problem is the connector: This receiver uses a tiny PCB connector that is used for connections between boards. It is not designed to be connected to cables that move and bend. Anyway, I have better VHF receivers here. Overall I am happy with this receiver. It does exactly what I need and produces more than enough volume in my practice room. (I still plan to test it with a pair of larger, more efficient stereo speakers.) This might be all you need from a receiver when building a minimal stereo system, but you'll need to find a compatible antenna. if you want to listen to FM, or maybe create your own.
