Initially the size was too small for my friend and the exchange was very easy. When I got the big jacket everything was great: it wraps him up instead of just covering his back, it's easy to get your feet in and zip up, and it's thicker than most dog jackets I've seen. If it was just a clue (and it's not enough to drop the stars - it's a really great jacket), it's a fabric tab under the zipper that keeps the zipper from digging right into his fur. In particular, I have found that the flap gets tangled in the zipper very easily and sometimes it takes me a few seconds to open it and then close the jacket again. It's possible that I am all of that, but I wanted to address this issue. Other than that, it's a great coat that keeps my slow, arthritic friend warm!
