Review on H2O Mop Replacement Micro Fiber Pads by Pamela Jones

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The replacement microfiber pads are thinner but work well

I also reviewed the coral blue replacement mop pads which I didn't like. However, these are fine. I believe that both brands are not for sale and decided to try them because the originals are very expensive. The only difference is that they are thinner than the microfiber pads that come with the H2O Mop X5. They do their job very well. I will say that when I first used these pads I found them useless as it was very difficult to slide the floor. I later found out it was because there were so many leftovers on my laminate floor! I used to use a waxy product on the floor and was told not to do it because it would peel off and the laminate would be as shiny as you bought it. So I cleaned it up (so I thought) and used Murphy's Oil soap which is great and I will continue to use it on my kitchen cabinets. The first, second and third time I steamed the floor it had streaks in the patches. I didn't want to steam the floor over and over again in the same day as it is laminate and so laminate cannot get wet. I thought I just spent almost $150 on this vaporizer and accessories and that the discontinued microfiber was no good. But then I found that with each sweep, the mop got easier to squeeze, the streaks disappeared, and my floor got shinier with each sweep. My laminate is great. The best way I can describe it is that the floor with the oil soap was matt and shiny, now my floor is simply BRILLIANT. I'll try to post a photo, but I can't yet. As a previous reviewer noted, you'll need enough cleaning wipes depending on the area you're cleaning and how dirty it is.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
