This is my first personal monitor other than a laptop display. I've been working with him for the last week or so. I find it suits my needs (mainly for work) very well. The brightness and resolution are such that I can work quite comfortably with this screen, even over long periods of time. The brightness is a little sluggish to keep up with very bright ambient light, but I can always read normally (and just close the blinds a bit). I haven't tried many mediums yet, so I can't speak about that experience yet. The best thing, of course, is the large curved screen. The monitor itself arrived fairly well packaged and in brand new condition. I find that the amount of screen that can be shared between different applications allows for much more efficient visualization of workflows, which is great. The hardware itself is also pretty cool and makes it easy to work with. I have no experience with non-curved ultra-wide monitors, so I can't offer a direct comparison. It seems pretty good to me - I don't think I would want it any other way. A big plus that I didn't consider before buying is USB-C charging, which eliminates the need for a laptop charger near a work station. Time. If you're getting this monitor, be sure to consider an arm mount. The included stand is hardly good, certainly more wobbly than placing the monitor on a table. A good holder also helps organize cables and frees up desk space.
