Review on Prime Line KC17HD Safety Spring Closer by Floe Rankin

First of all thank you to the seller who opened the package for me! (see photo) I received a clearly used item. Everything looked intact, so I installed it anyway. Installed very easily, no problems. But my door is a very light internal door at the top of the stairs and this thing just doesn't do the job. It usually swings so far that it's difficult to hold it when my hands are full. I was hoping that this device would securely close the door, although I didn't really expect it to be strong enough to snap shut. I just wanted it to be close enough that I didn't have to reach far to snap it in place. Yes, I know the spring is adjustable, but it can't advance a notch further than it's set. That's a great idea, but it just doesn't work for me. Time to look for another type of door closer.
