Good solid alarm clock, easy to set up and use

I haven't read the instructions. I just skimmed it, played around with the time settings on the back, and then set the alarm on it. You turn the large knob/dial at the top to toggle between hours, minutes, or radio stations, depending on the mode. You have tons of alarm options, including different tones and radios, and I chose the most annoying sound. for me to wake up The alarm starts with a low volume and becomes very loud after a few seconds. So if you're awake, you have the option to turn it off quickly. If you're on the other side of the apartment, you'll hear it when it reaches maximum volume. If you're sitting on the toilet when you turn it off, you might need a remote control, but other than that it seems perfect. :) Oh yes, the buffer battery also works - I once had a power outage for several hours and didn't have to reset the clock. We've had a few storms, outages and I've unplugged it and moved it once and haven't had to reset the time since the day I took it out of the box. I have no idea what it means for daylight savings time as I've never read the directions, but I'll cross this bridge when I get around to it.
