It's pretty good for the price although the anti-sweat and anti-corrosion coating could be oil. Mine was slightly scratched on the sharp edge, I used some POR 15 to touch up the areas exposed to the metal. It is made of steel and will rust badly, if rust can develop due to chips or scratches use POR. 15 to touch damaged areas every few mouths. I wanted to install it myself following the installation instructions from the Mazda forum. But the muffler rubber bands were too painful without a special removal tool, let alone $20 for a one-time use. My local Pep Boys Super Center installed it for $50 which is worth letting the pros install.
