Review on πŸŽ₯ Sony DCR-TRV510: Advanced Handycam with 20x Optical Zoom and 360x Digital Zoom (Discontinued Model) by Rusty Calcara

SONY Digital 8 is great!

I wanted the latest in digital camcorder technology, but the high cost of mini DV tapes got me thinking about the SONY Digital 8 format viewfinder, a slightly larger LCD monitor, 2MB built-in Storage for digital photos, Sony photo management software for your PC and a PC connection via a serial port. The 510 is my first camcorder, so I don't have any camcorder experience to make a relative comparison. This camcorder is great for home videos and photography. The best results are achieved outdoors in good daylight, otherwise videos and photos in other conditions such as B. can be slightly grainy in low light indoors. For some reason SONY didn't include the title feature they use for their reg. 8 and Hi 8 models. Also have no difference between reg. Video and S-Video connection to my TV, neither between the cheaper reg. Band 8 and Hi 8. The supplied battery is not sufficient for intensive use, 4 hours should be enough, everything longer only becomes more difficult. I am very happy with my decision to purchase the 510, overall a very impressive handheld camera that I will happily use to record home videos and capture memorable moments of my son's growth.
