This part only fit me to a limited extent. The old part is easy to disassemble (according to the instructions on You Tube), the gear knob and leather case are easy to disassemble and everything snaps open and reassembled. I didn't get the two electrical plugs that matched the new part, the pins and holes didn't match. So the black part of the part (with the C/S switch and shift indicator) breaks off. I took the old one and put it in the new slip ring and everything clicked and worked great. I would only buy a decorative ring if I had to repeat it. Looks and works like the original. Apply leather conditioner to the boot to soften it.
