Bought this machine to replace a worn blindstitch (different brand). A few weeks after installation, there was a very strong smell of engine oil, but after a few months it was completely gone. The machine was easy to set up although I will note that some of the packaging bags were very dirty/stained and I watched the video in the product description which also helped with the set up. I've hemmed several pants with it with no problems. The cord holds well and doesn't "break", the machine works like a dream. Definitely recommend this car.
