Enormous time savings!

I like it! A nice clean look that's much faster than hand rolling and better than a machine finished edge. There is a learning curve to learning how to roll and I watched youtube videos to try and help but felt like they were struggling. I found an easier way: manually fold the beginning and sew an inch (under the foot). Raise the presser foot, raise the needle, and pull the fabric back about 1/2-3/4 inch so you are over the edge. Place the right side edge into the spool of the foot (sometimes you need a needle to pull it in) and once in the spool, gently pull the fabric back towards you until it stops at the stitches already sewn. . Lower the presser foot and needle and you have slack in the needle because you are pulling it back. Simply wind the coil to tighten again. As you sew, hold the right side of the fabric so it forms a small "U" on the wrong side. Cut the sewing seams at a 45 degree angle and they'll come through, but you'll have to move slowly when you reach them.
