I wouldn't trust the clip.

a little later. The dog didn't even pull the leash, just pushed some people in the direction and the clip just popped. This was made by my small dog (70lb German Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog Mix). Luckily the people he ran to took it very easy and even offered me a leash to help him get home. I was skeptical when I saw these lines attached to us because I saw other people had problems with them coming loose. I like the lines themselves. They have a great feel but I wouldn't trust the clip. I have two dogs, I bought a leash for both of them. I ended up just taking bolt cutters and cutting off the clips, and then I went to Ace Hardware and bought a carabiner and clip and put them in the end of the leash. Now it is reliable and ready to use.
