One of the main reasons why I chose this model? Can be dismantled for cleaning. I'm tired of buying similar sized disposable fans that burn out because I can't clean them properly. That being said, this isn't a Dyson. This isn't just wiping with a damp cloth like a fan. But that's not Dyson's price either. With some time and patience, I was able to completely disassemble this fan using a regular Phillips screwdriver. Body parts are all plastic. Just quickly soak in warm soapy water, brush a little with an old toothbrush and rinse. Voila! ALL dirty spots are like new! It was a little awkward to put together - the outer case had to be properly snapped into place. However, if you only want to clean the fan blade and front grille, they can be accessed quickly and easily with just one screw. I appreciate it when everything works as advertised and I'm very happy with this little guy.
