Excellent processor for the majority of jobs. It will not be sufficient simply for programs that require more than two hardware threads at once, nor will it be sufficient for the most up-to-date games. Pros: Good speed even on the most basic motherboard (asus with two RAM slots, three PCI, and one PCI-express, I don't recall the model), but on the MSI X48C Platinum with four gigabytes of RAM, so that something slows down, so far I haven't gotten into such a situation. Various disadvantages: I counted a total of twelve different motherboards that are compatible with it, which is a quite small number considering the fact that we're talking about high-quality boards here and not something like AsRock.
