PE Ultrsonic vs Homedic

I have both a Homedic 1 gallon humidifier and a PE Ultrasonic Cool Mist humidifier. In this review I will compare them and also review PE Ultrasonic offline. I have had 2 humidifiers at home for several years and I am satisfied. I wanted a different humidifier and tried PE Ultrasonic. Here's a comparison: 1) Form Factor and Aesthetics: Both products are similar in size. Homedic is rounder than PE which is more oval. Both have a 1 gallon water tank. 2) Atomization: PE allows multiple mist atomization options. This is useful when you want faster flow (through 2 holes instead of 1) and also have directional flow. Homedic does not have this feature and the direction is only one direction (unless you rotate the device yourself) 3) Running time: The homedic humidifier usually runs for 8 hours. PE worked 9.5 hours. I don't know if this is due to better mist production or less waste (or some other reason) 4) Water Tank: Homedic has a water tank handle that makes filling easier. PE has no grip and tends to slip.5) Operation: Both devices allow you to control the amount of fog. This is important as you will inevitably have to control how much fog you want. By the way, I used the Homedic in a very large living room and yet the humidity went from 55 to 70 when the tank was about half used. (See attached picture). I was impressed. 6) Night Light: Both have night light function. PE allows the use of 3 colors (blue, red and green), Homedic only has blue. 7) Shut-off: Both have an automatic shut-off function when the water tank runs out. condenses on the surface when I use homedic, but that hasn't happened with PE yet. I'm not sure if that will change after a while. Overall I am happy with the PE Ultrasonic Humidifier and would not recommend it as Homedic is bad. UPDATE (January 2, 2017): As the person asked in the comments section below, the temperature and humidity sensor in the picture I've attached in the review is an accurate instrument. The link below is a best seller on Amazon. sensor+temperature+and+humidity
