Ugh, what was I thinking. I sincerely think that this and every other Neutorgena product makes my skin worse. I was in the market for a retinol cream and after being bombarded I went back to Neutorgena's claim that it was recommended by dermatologists. A few years ago I tried their alpha/beta hydroxyl "moisturizer" (still on the market today) and it made my skin so dry and red I thought it contained battery acid. I reluctantly bought Neutorgena Healthy Skin's retinol day and night creams and used them almost every day and night, skipping some to let my skin breathe and using another Aveno face product. I went through 2 tubes at a time and see no results. I'm 33 years old and I've actually made some mistakes with my skin by living a very bad lifestyle since I was 13 years old. I'm still a young adult and mostly suffer from loss of volume, loss of elasticity and uneven texture/tone. apart from a massive crease on my left cheek of course. I know a deep crease requires a knife patch, so I won't complain about that. However, I think that even the most modest results should already be visible. I've changed my lifestyle and I look better, but I still need help. However, after using this product, my skin still feels very, very dry, prone to breakouts and irritation, and I can't say that there hasn't been a single pore tightening, not a single line softened, my skin not firmer or better has become . In fact, I'm sitting here trying to ignore how bad my face is right now. To be honest my skin feels tighter now than it did 3 months ago. I've used a few serums in the past that contain retinol and hyaluronic acid (Neutorgena makes a hydro-booster, but I don't care either). The serums worked but I was still pretty struggling at the time so they were 1 step forward 2 steps back and cost a lot of money. With this healthy skin product I take a step towards good health and it sucks my money and facial moisture and leaves me with no results. I think the all in 1 thing just doesn't work. Some people may need different types of products that are never combined into one simple product. I will use serums again even if they are more expensive. I've had great success using Puristica 2.5% Retinol Serum and regular coconut oil over it at night. I'm also a fan of the Matrixyl serum with a water-based gel or moisturizer over it in the morning (no, I don't insist). I'm just saying that I believe these Neutorgena products will never work as they claim unless they make things worse. In defense of Neutorgena I tried HydroBoost but that didn't work either until I put it on my razor bumps and applied it to a small old patch of dry skin on my neck from an old wound and found it helped a bit , so not a total loss.
